Best of 2012

Hello !

How's your holiday so far ? Mine was kinda relaxed , spending most of my time resting at home , hanging out with my lovelies and quiet time with my cat family ! College is starting in a week time ! Gosh , and I haven't get started on my assignment yet LOL . * lazy me hehe * 2012 was a super awesome year for me to be honest. I haven't felt so happy for a long time. It's the BEST year for me so far ! Although I'm pretty positive that year 2013 will be even better ! ♥

Here are some of the highlights of  my awesome year 2012 :

January -  Did a cosplay photoshoot of my favorite anime series " Guilty Crown" ! I cosplayed as Shu with my lovely Angie as Inori. Plus I also made a Facebook Page for my cosplay ! ( * v * )

March - Visited Bangkok for the first time and went crazy on shopping at the Chatuchak Weekend Market !  Guess what ? I also saw Big Bang's Fantastic Baby on MTV in the hotel and I'm a big fan since !!

April - Finally cosplayed Lucy Heartfilia !! Really love the photos from the photoshoot ~ one of my fav cosplay of the year ! ( > w < ) Became the Panty Gender Bender ver. with hot Kazeki as my Panty  , Kemu and Angie as my cute Stocking siblings !

Plus , Scrawney also gave birth to Stumpy , Orange and Trumpet !! ♥

May - I became one of the MMK girls with Angie ! I was really excited being chosen this time because I tried last year but didn't get it. Lucky !! ( ^ ____ ^ ) ♥ ♥ ♥ 

Dyed my hair for the first time !

June - Participated in AFA Malaysia 2012 !! Met Sir Jim , Jasmine and Geraldine, my lovely MMK girls and AR bros ! Had an awesome time during AFA MY and I get to meet TASHA and MIYUKO !!! * tears of joy *

July - First time visiting Indonesia for AFA ID 2012 press conference !! Met my darling Momo who is the new MMK girl from Indonesia !! Love her ! ♥

August - Went to Singapore again for photoshoot ! Visited the Singapore Zoo too with Sir Jim and Geraldine being my tour guide hehe. ♥

Cosplayed Kyoko Sakura from Madoka Magica ~ first time making weapon for cosplay !

Became a sweater addict lol.

September - Visited Indonesia again for AFA ID 2012 ! I enjoyed AFA ID very much ~ everyone was really warm and friendly there ! I had a really good time ! :-)

Met my cosplay idol , Tsukasa and Judy too !! * whoa excited max *

October - WENT TO BIG BANG'S ALIVE WORLD TOUR CONCERT !! Oh my Daesung !! ♥

November - It's time for AFA SG ! Forgot my bag in the cab and the cab driver returned my bag to me !! Super lucky and grateful !! Another awesome AFA and pretty sad also because I won't be seeing my girls much until next year. :-/

I finally let go of my long hair and cut it short LOL. 

Scrawney gave birth to Whitey !!! ♥

December -  Pierced my ears for the first time with Princess Hermes ! Also celebrated Christmas with my lovelies !! First time exchanging gifts with them too ! * happy *


Why is this year so special for me ?

There were ups and downs but definitely there were more happy things in my life ! * must be The Secret working it's magic * I am grateful that I'm blessed with beautiful cats and kittens. I am happy that I'm surrounded with wonderful people that light up my life. Grateful for all the opportunities given to me. I enjoy my college and I'm in Semester 5 now ! There were many little things that I never thought would have happened but it did. I'm truly blessed . :') Thank you , really !

You might been wondering why I haven't cosplayed for quite some time. Last semester was really harsh on me and I don't really have much time to make costumes... But I will be cosplaying again next week with my lovely group ! I'm really nervous because I haven't been cosplaying since August hehe. Wish me luck !!

One Month Old Whitey !

Hello everyone !

How's your Christmas Day ? I spent my Christmas Day eating my favorite Menya Musashi Ramen and watched Jackie Chan's latest movie - " CZ12 " !! The movie was so-so only but it was really funny ! Still love it because I grew up watching Jackie Chan's movies. Hope he makes more movies ! ( >__ <)

His nose is a bit dirty. Helped him wipe using cotton but it's still there ~ I don't dare to wipe too hard because he is still so tiny !

Fashion Design ?

* This will be a wordy post ! *

It's the second week of my semester break ! I'm feeling so lifeless right now because I used to being so busy and having sleepless nights for the past 4 months ! Now all I wanna do is sleep , catch up with my drama series and cuddles my cats . ( * v * ) I know right , I'm so lazy ! =p Can't blame me why so lazy because my college really killing me and I have trauma lololololol ! #truestory

Anyways , it's 4th semester DOWN !! Some readers have been asking what am I studying currently ~ well I'm a Fashion Design student ~ I don't know what hit me and I decided on this course in like a week ?? Went to check out the college and enrolled a week after ! Never look back since then !! I wasn't sure if this is what I wanted but you know , I never feel so determined before this lol . * I'm not even this hardworking during high school * #anothertruestory

My first impression on Fashion Design is " making and designing clothes ". I thought that I will learn about how to sew and design garments only. Shallow lol ! I already have a little bit of sewing knowledge before going college so sewing subjects wasn't very difficult ~ I pretty enjoy drawing so I love drawing classes !  * At least in my mind I said yes , I can do this * You know , fashion design is much more than just sewing & drawing . For my first year , I learned many things ranging from mixing colors , computer designs , proper way to sew lining in a skirt , drawing with mixed media , basic photography , drafting patterns , how to choose fabric and so on. 

When semester 4 started , I'm like OMG PLEASE KILL ME. First week of the semester I already sleep around 3-4 am everyday. Seriously the horror max . My skin became really bad because of stress and all , so if your skin still pretty means you didn't work hard enough !! But then I'm calm myself down and slowly get used to the workload , thinking if this is bad , next semester will be worse LOL . Sometimes I think I'm a superman since I can juggle from drawing to sewing , drafting to cutting papers and making scrapbook/journals. Towards the end of the semester , with all the finals projects kicking in , I still can participate in AFA SG , hang out with my lovelies on weekends and take naps summore , yet I still can finish my assignments. I guess if I can manage my time properly , I am able to submit my assignments on time and play hard as well. * peace sign bro *

Shall show you some of my works this semester , so in case if you are interested in taking up Fashion Design , you'll get an idea what it's roughly about ~ =p

This is my research journal for my Fashion Movement subject this semester ! It's a design subject where you get to do research on a given topic and get inspirations from it to design a garment. For this semester , the theme is " New Medieval ".

I'm interested in Knights and Armour ! I enjoyed making this journal because I secretly like scrap-booking LOL. For this journal , I scribbled all my ideas around and choose to use my own hand writing instead of typing using computer. I think it's more personal this way =)

Next we had to do like over 100 ++ sketches of our initial ideas / idea development with color to show our lecturer. I think design is not my strength after all . I like making cute things more . #honesty

This is the " Make-up Board " for the garment that we designed earlier on. Like you have to decide on a make-up that goes with your garment. Love winged eyeliner and red lips ~ find it a really sexy combination ! ♥

Next up is the " Hairstyle Board ".

I learned a new thing from making this , those really pretty braids have a name and it's called the " Waterfall Braid " . Knowledge + 1

Fashion Illustration 1 .

Compilation of drawings we did for the past 4 months ! I would say that this is the most time consuming subject ever. Have to draw like 100 ++ of these figure drawings per week. I usually need to spend 2-3 days for this subject alone. But ! I LOVE DRAWING . ( * _____ * )

No joke I really did a crappy job for this .. I don't really like the whole thing except the face and hair !! Spent most effort is coloring it ! ( -______-|| ) That's why I said I have no talent in design . Laugh die me when I see this. It's okay you can laugh together with me LOL.

Next subject : Textile Technology !

This is by far the most interesting subject ! I have a love-hate relationship with this subject. Love making it but at the same time it's tedious and time consuming as well. * foams *

This is the North American Smocking I did earlier this semester. Hand-sewn this non-stop from 10 am till 4 am the next day. Back almost broke lol . Oh well , the results were good so it's okay !

Patchwork !

I love cute fabric prints and spent around RM 100 ++ for all these lovely fabrics ! I still have lots of leftovers so I used them for my final project ~ also Christmas-Themed lol !

Beading !

Okay I'm really stingy and beads are expensive so I shared with my good friend then realized that small beads are too hard to sew and takes longer time !! And time is what I dont have !! Super lol then I asked another friend to help me buy longer glass beads so I can sew faster. 

Wanted to do a butterfly at first but no time so I came up with a total random design ! =p

Lecturer was hospitalized so no classes for tie-dye and macrame. Really tragic because I needed guidance on this but fret not , Youtube is a very good teacher !! Can't really understand the notes the lecturer sent me so I turn to Youtube for help instead. =(

Decided on the most simple tie-dye pattern ever because , again this is a very last minute work. Was halfway doing my macrame and working on this at the same time ! I think this wasn't too shabby for the first try !

I'm really proud of this because I spent whole day tying 2 rolls of strings together and the outcome looks like fabric ! Although it wasn't the 30 x 30 cm size required by lecturer , at least I did put effort in this rather than simply tying few strings together LOL .

After we finished compiling all the weekly assignments ( around 20 ++ of them ) , we need to make a cover for the file ! I am infatuated with cute things so my cover looks like this ! I feel calm and peaceful by looking at it LOL.

My Textile Technology Final Project !

Initially I have no idea on what to do for my final project and was kinda worried bout it. Most of my classmates already started working on theirs ! So I went to Midvalley to get some art supplies and got inspired by Christmas decorations . ( * ___ * )

We have to use at least 4 techniques that we learned from our weekly assignments and I chose applique' , patchwork , beading , stuffing and embroidery ! Took a long time making that penguin and I dab on some blusher on his face to make him look cuter lol !

Next up , Pattern Making's Final Project : Princess Style Line Dress !

OMG. I must admit that I don't really enjoy this subject because I dislike drafting. It's like doing maths that every calculation must be correct or else your garment won't turn out right. Requires lots of patience and concentration too. Imagine you draft wrong , cut fabric already only realize .. dang ! That's it la..

So our final project is a princess style line dress ~ we did everything from scratch , drafting our own patterns , making cutting patterns , choosing our own fabric and embellishments etc. Drafting the pattern took the longest time while sewing the dress only took 2 days to complete. Yay !

I don't really have time for a fancy-looking dress so I just bling up the collar with so beading and hand-sewn the lace on top! Wasn't very happy with it but glad I managed to finish it on time ! My first time making a fully lined dress too ! The process was really tedious. * sigh *

In conclusion ( lol so formal ) , I really enjoy taking up Fashion Design. People always say that Art Student need to work super hard because there will be endless assignments and all ~ sometimes we don't even get to sleep , lecturer always rejecting our works ... but it's all good for me because I kinda enjoy doing it. Some of the assignments are really interesting to work on , while some I don't really like but .. you know , I'm glad that I'm learning something new ! ( > ____ < ) No regrets ! I can't say that I'm super passionate about designing clothes ~ at least I'm enjoying the journey so far ! ♥ 

My cats are being really supportive and loving! Who says cats only come to you when you have food ! That's so not true !! There are times that I need to sit down whole day to do my assignments and my cats , especially Trumpet would just lay on the table , looking at me lol. Orange and Stumpy like to destroy my assignments but oh well , I still love them dearly ! It's nice whenever I'm stressed out , I get to pat them ~ then feel better instantly. Magical right ! I call this pet therapy LOL. ♥  ♥  ♥

Miracle Kitten !

Been saving this blog post for a week and finally I'm ready to show you the latest addition to my cat family , a real miracle ! 

Why miracle ? This is Scrawney's second litter of kittens and she had difficulty giving birth. Out of 4 kittens only 1 survived . ( ;_____; ) I was really sad. I stayed up whole night waiting for her to give birth , making sure that her babies are fine. It was my assessment the very next day and I'm really grateful that my lecturer allowed me to go home earlier for my kitten ! Anyways , I'm glad and thankful that Whitey survived and being so strong now ! ( * v * )

I haven't decide her/his name yet must most probably will end up with Whitey because that's the first name that popped in my mind lol. I think Whitey is a boy because I saw balls even though its really small , but I think it is balls LOL !!

Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2012 | Part Two

Hello !

It has been almost a month since AFA SG 2012 ! Can't believe that time pass by so fast ~ * sigh * Can't meet my lovely girls for a long time ! ( > __ < ) I didn't snap much photos this time because I was really , really busy ! Plus, I feel a bit paiseh also if I keep snap photos during work lol . * hardworking *

We stayed at a really awesome resort named Laguna Golf & Country Club ! The room is spacious and the toilet is super big plus it comes with a bath tub ! Unfortunately I have no pictures to show you because by the  time I'm back to the resort , I'm already dead on the bed LOL ! But it was really comfy and I enjoyed my stay there very much !

Anyways , my role for MMK this time is the President / Princess ( lol ) ! For Day 1 , I was wearing a tiara and for Day 2 , I wore a red bow hairband ! Initially I wanna change my socks for the second day but  Jino accidentally tore my pantyhose !! ( ;____; ) Sad max !

Feel kinda sentimental about this post because I had lots of fun working during AFA and awesome time with my girls ! It's like I keep looking forward to meet them again ~ plus I met my lovelies whom I hang out with quite often during the weekends where we can be silly and laugh bout everything ! I can't express how grateful I am and feel blessed being able to be a part of the MMK family ! Everyone helped each other and it feels like a family here . ( > ___ < ) hehe . Perhaps a trip down to Singapore end of the month ?
