Project Diva 2nd : Spacy Nurse Miku

Hello !

Last weekend I'm lucky enough to be surrounded by fourteen , yes 14 insanely moe Hatsune Miku !! Many thanks to lovely Angie , for organizing such a huge Project Diva group . Never in my life I thought that I would be able to cosplay Miku because I'm too giant sized to be one . ( and I'm not moe at all ) * coughs * But it was really fun meeting news friends as always ! This time I'm fortunate enough to be able to meet Cyubeh , Viospace and Jesuke from Singapore ! * fangurlsto the max * Plus get to meet up with the rest of my moe harem . * w * /nosebleeds

There are so many versions of Hatsune Miku to choose from and Project Diva has so many lovely costumes ! =) I don't know why , but I'm mysteriously drawn to nurses or maids . So , I finally decided on Miku's Spacy Nurse version .

Finally I got my Star Date !! Have you guys have any idea how difficult izzit for my Ranka and I to get an Alto-hime ?? Actually it's because I'm too tall but I still wanna wear heels that scares all the Altos away . ( ;____; ) But ! My awesome Ranka managed to find us a date eventhough it's just a really short date ! Very happy that I enjoiced during the whole shoot ~♥

Thank you for rushing your costume Lavena dear ! Glad that you are still so moe eventhough you barely have any sleep the night before (* w * )

A letter to Twurdie

Dear Twurdie ,

It is today at 10 a.m , you finally left me . It was painful for me to see you in pain and everything happened so quick . It never occured to me that you and I will part so soon . I thought that you would live a long and healthy life .Two days ago , you were just fine , waiting for me at the exact spot you would be when I wake up everyday . When I sit down on the carpet , you would sit on my lap and start massaging my thighs . When I am watching tv , you would sit beside me , curl up and sleep in a very cute way that never fail to make me go " aww ".

I can't bear the thoughts of not being able to see you again . That no one will greet me anymore when I wake up every morning . That no one will come to me playfully asking for my attention . That I wouldn't see you walking around the house , hiding in spots waiting for me to look for you . That I wouldn't see you making little noises when it's feeding time .

18th February 2011 . That's the day I adopted you . You were about 5 months old back then and Shaun and I immediately know that you are the one when we set our eyes on you . You were being a bit shy when we brought you home . Soon , the whole house grew to love you and I'm sure that you love us as much too .

You were extremely playful , active and curious .Always running around the house , climbing the grills , hiding underneath the dining table , jumping on the divider and sitting on Shaun's driving wheel . You even like to scratch our white sofa because you have nothing to scratch on . Soon , Shaun bought you a scratching cone ! Being a smart girl as always , you stop scratching our sofa and scratches your own cone instead . You never dirty the house , always clean and proper . And always eating ! You would keep going back to your feeding place and eat every 30 minutes or so . When we buy groceries , you will dig in the grocery bag looking for food . When Shaun come back from his flights , you will stand in front of the door greeting him and waiting for him to sayang you . You are the cat that I always wanted .

There was once that I'm extremely tired and was lying on the floor . It was as if you knew that I'm tired on something , you start massaging my back . You were so dear to me Twurdie . You were a great companion , a loving pet and a great friend . You always make me happy when I look at you . Whenever I'm down , when I pat or cuddle you , I feel relieved somehow .

But sickness took you away .

It's barely two months since I first adopted you . It was brief , but it seems that we were together for a long time . You were there for me always . Always by my side . Now that you are no longer here , the spot where you always were , feels so empty . It's just so unfortunate that we don't get to spend more time together . I truly love you very very much .

Shaun took you to the vet and it was bad news . Upon checking you , she said that you have jaundice . So they began the treatment but she told us that the chance for you to recover is very low because the damage to your body is too great . Your organs aren't functioning well . She also told us that it's a sudden thing due to some kind of virus that have been in your body for a long time , just that it wasn't active . Still even though the chance is very slim , I still hope that you can recover and respond to the medication given .

Yesterday , I have been crying whole day praying hard that you would be given strength to recover . That you will be healthy and strong and will come back to me soon . I believe that you are a very strong girl and I keep telling you to be strong for me ." Twurdie please work harder because I love you okay ? "

Today you were in so much pain . Your body twitches when I touch you . You don't even respond to me calling your name anymore . The vet told me that the virus have spread to your brain and that you can't even stand or walk straight anymore . Your nose was bleeding and your eyes can barely see no more . I can't stop telling you that I love you .

I sometimes wonder , why do something that I love so much have to leave me so early ? I know that life and death is unevitable . But I didn't know that it would happen so soon . I'm sorry that I have to cry so much in front of you because I'm sure that you wouldn't want to see me feeling so much sorrow . I know that deep inside you love me very much too .

It is as if you knew that you weren't going to live long . Few days before this , you keep coming to me and massaging my legs . Was it that you are trying to spend more time with me ? You were always sitting beside me . You always have been .

The moment you had your last breath , I was there holding you . I said my goodbye and keep repeating that I love you , did you hear it ? I love you so much Twurdie . I really do. I was prepared to take care of you till your time comes but why don't you have the luck to be pampered by me longer ?

When I got home and opened the front door , I keep hoping that you will be sitting on the very spot you will be . I wished hard that you will be there but I knew that you won't . Shaun told me that you have gone to a beautiful place , where you can eat all the cat food you want , scratch all the cones you want and climb all the grills you like . He also told me that you would want me to remember you as the beautiful , white and happy Twurdie .

I wouldn't want to shed anymore tears after this , Twurdie . I promise you that I won't . Every spot in this house reminds me of you . It was painful to be here thinking all the good memories I had with you . I just cleaned your sandbox , your feeding bowl , your pillow and your towel . I will keep all of your favourite things together .

So Twurdie , if you could ever read , I just wanted to tell you are such a good girl and have given me so much joy and happiness in this brief time that we shared together . You were a great companion to me . With you around I don't feel lonely at all . You have a very special spot in my heart , so dear that it was difficult to see you go . Even though you cannot talk , but I can feel it deep in my heart that you do love me very much too . I know that you are in good hands now , in a very beautiful place beside Him . Twurdie please stay happy , healthy and playful as you always have been when your are with us okay ? * hugs & kisses *

I love you Twurdie !

And you will always be remembered by us baby girl .

Cosplay Make Up Tutorial For Female Characters

Ohai !

It's time for another make up tutorial ! Recently , I received a few messages from my friends asking me for tips regarding make up for cosplay . There are like millions of way to achieve the character " look " that you want . It really takes a lot of trial and errors before you know what kind of make up really suits you . ^^

Anyways , I will show you how I do my make up for female characters .

Step 1 : Again with the same routine : Moisturize your face and conceal all imperfections ! This time which is a bit different from my previous daily make up tutorial , instead of just dabbing loose powder , I applied some foundation beforehand . Then , you will have a clean , flawless face to " paint " on . :-p

Step 2 : Depending on what character you will be cosplaying , ( unless the character has black / dark hair colour ) you will have to nude your eyebrows . I conceal my eyebrows using a stick concealer beacause I will be putting on a blonde/pink wig later . ^^

This is my favourite palette of eye shadow ! It's Kate's Gradical Eyes in BR-1 .

Step 3 : I apply the lightest shade of brown on my entire eyelid . Then I use the next darker brown and blend it from my lash line to the crease . For the darkest shade of brown , I use it on the crease of my eyes from the corner to the outer edges . I also lightly brush some light brown on my lower eyelid .

Step 4 : Then it's eyeliner time ! This time I lined my lower eyeliner too to make my eyes appear larger .

For this look , I'm using this type of upper lashes .

Step 5 : Stick on the fake upper lashes . Then , curl it upwards using your favourite eyelash curler . For cosplay , I prefer thicker and longer fake lashes so that it's more obvious in photos . That's my eye with and without the lashes , can you see the difference ?

Some people say that fake lashes is not important , but to me it makes all the difference =p

Now you can have big eyes . lol

Step 6 : Spam mascara on your lower lashes !

For the lower lashes , I'm using Dolly Wink No.8 Pure Little .

Step 7 : Use a tweezer to stick on the fake lashes one by one . I stick them slightly below my real lower lashes . It also blends in well and look more natural . ( Trust me , less painful when you remove it later lol )

To lighten the colour of my eyebrows , I'm using Rimmel London Quad Eye Shadow ( 013 Sweet Smoulder )

Step 8 : I use the blonde-like colour to shade my eyebrows . On the left pix , you can see that my right eyebrow is coloured and the other one is not . On the second pix , both my eyebrows are coloured ( * w * )

This is a blusher given to me by my mum so I don't remember the name , but the colour is more to orange .

Step 9 : Smile when you apply the blusher on your cheeks .

Rimmel London Lipstick : Nude Delight !

Step 10 : Apply nude lipstick ! It's the matter of preference actually . Personally I prefer using nude lipstick if I have blusher on , so that the focus will be on my eyes and cheeks instead of my lips . Won't want the make up to be too over ^^

Put on your wig !

This is how I usually do my make up for the female characters that I cosplay like Sheryl Nome or Megurine Luka ! Of course it depends entirely on what kind of character it is : some have red lips , more dramatic , stage-like make up , etc . Changing the type of fake upper/lower lashes you use will also help to change the overall look .

My Daily Make Up Tutorial

Hello guys ~

Actually this is more to how do I do my daily make-up ! Usually my make-up is quite light compared to the make-up I do for my cosplay photoshoots or events. For my daily make-up , I emphasize more on my eye make-up and keep the rest super simple .

Here are the list of make-up stuff that I use everyday :

Step 1 : Moisturize & Conceal

# I start with a clean , moisturized face ! Then I will use my favourite stick concealer to hide all my imperfections : acne scars , dark circles , redness around nose etc . I'm madly in love with the concealer that I bought from Etude House , it blends in really well and covers my dark circles perfectly .

Step 2 : Loose Powder

# Next , I will dab some loose powder all over my face . Okay my face is totally nekkid now , time to dress it up a little ! 8D

Step 3 : Eyebrows

# It's time to draw my eyebrows . To me eyebrows are kinda important because it helps to complete your look . I like having thick eyebrows but unfortunately I'm not blessed with it . :-(

Step 4 : Drawing Eyeliner

# I put on the lightest shade of brown on my eyelids before drawing the eyeliner . ( not in pix ) I use the Heavy Rotation liquid liner from SASA that don't smudge and easy to apply ! I prefer drawing thin lines as close to my lash line as possible .

# For my daily look , I use natural fake lashes , like this ! Fake lashes are definitely something that I can't live without ! I probably have more than 50 pairs of untouched lashes in my drawer by now . :-p

Step 5 : Sticking Fake Lashes & Curling it

# I love using The Face Shop eyelash glue because it sticks really well . ( but it's always out of stock ) After sticking the fake lashes on , I then use an eyelash curler on it . This will make your eyes appear bigger ^^

# That's my left eye with fake lashes and my right eye without .

Step 6 : Applying Mascara on Lower Lashes

# Then I will apply 2-3 coats of mascara on my lower lashes . I'm using Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus . Been using it since last year , never smudges which is super awesome because I'm really scared of panda eyes . ;___;

# So addicted to putting on fake lower lashes that my eyes feel incomplete without it !

Step 7 : Moisturizing Lips

# Vaseline is my life saver . It has been following me since high school days . Apply some vaseline / lipbalm on your lips before lipstick . Dry , chapped lips is a big no-no .

# My new love , Rimmel London lipstick in Nude Delight !

Step 8 : Applying Lipstick

# With lipstick on ! I love this shade very much but sometimes I do use baby pink lipsticks too.

Done !

# Ta-da !! It's done ! ( in less than 5 minutes hur hur )

Before & After

Nah ~The before and after pix ! Honestly I feel quite scared looking at my " before " pix . Confirm even uglier without contact lenses !! Used to think that make-up is unnecessary but now we are inseparable . * cough cough *
